Just the Basics
Flights must come into Honolulu, HI (airport code: HNL)
Transfers from the airport to the pier are $20 pp, $40 round-trip
Option #1
|
Book NCL’s airfare
(includes your transfers and in some cases, an overnight stay).
Their airfare rates include your transfer from the airport to the pier the day of the cruise and your transfer from the pier to the airport after the cruise (a $40 pp value). If NCL cannot get you a flight to arrive in time on 5/5/12, the quoted rate will also include an overnight stay in Honolulu on 5/4/12. If you do have an overnight, you will also be provided with a transfer from the airport to the hotel. By booking their air, you won’t have to worry about a thing!
Many air cities are available. Call Cruise & Crop for rates. Rates are subject to change.
|
Option #2
|
Book your own air and arrive on 5/4/12.
Book the pre-cruise hotel & transfers through NCL.
Call Cruise & Crop for current rates on 1-night pre-hotel options through NCL. These rates would also include your transfer to the pier (but you’d have to get your own transfer from the airport to the hotel the night before). Hotel stays must be booked prior to final payment. After this deadline, hotel packages may not be available.
You’d also need to purchase a one-way transfer from the pier to the airport for after the cruise. This is $20 pp.
Hotel rates vary based on how many people are in the cabin.
|
Option #3

|
Book your own air and arrive on 5/5/12.
Book NCL Transfers
If you book your own flights, flights must arrive at the Honolulu airport between 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. on 5/5/12 and leave no earlier than 11:00 a.m. on 5/12/12. Round-trip transfers can be purchased for $40 pp.
NOTE: You CANNOT book your own air & hotel (to arrive on 5/4/12) and still purchase NCL transfers. If you do everything on your own, you’ll have to find your own transportation to and from the pier. The Honolulu airport is approx. 5 miles (10 minutes) from the pier. Taxi rides are between $15-20 (subject to change).

ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF USING CRUISE LINE AIR
ADVANTAGES:
- The cost of air travel can be lower when purchased through the cruise line’s air/sea program, because the cruise line can negotiate lower air rates. Since they are subsidizing the cost, you are often able to save a great deal of money.
- Transfers between the airport and pier are generally included at no cost to you. There are also representatives of the cruise line in the baggage claim area to assist you.
- Should inclement weather or unforeseeable circumstances delay your flight, the cruise line will cooperate with the air carrier whenever possible in order for you to make the sailing.
DISADVANTAGES:
- Your routing and airline schedule is arranged by the cruise line and may include connecting flights as deemed necessary by the airline or cruise line. Your routing may include a layover or change of planes, especially with flights to Europe, the Orient, South Pacific, Mexico and/or the opposite coast of the United States. As a general rule, you are scheduled to depart from and return to the same airport.
- Unless you use the cruise line’s pre or post package at a designated hotel, there is an additional fee to change the date or flight itinerary. This is called an air deviation ($75 pp), and you must make your cruise consultant aware of your desire for the change so that necessary adjustments can be made.

U.S. Citizens - Hawaii Cruises

If your ship never sails beyond the islands of Hawaii, all you need is a government-issued photo I.D. which includes a passport or a valid driver's license with a photo. A U.S. citizen under the age of 16 do not require a government-issued photo ID.
You will also need Proof of Citizenship -examples include: an original or state certified copy of a U.S. birth certificate, original certificate of U.S. naturalization, original certificate of U.S. citizenship, or a U.S. Consular report of your birth abroad. Baptismal paper and hospital certificates of birth are not acceptable.

Shore excursions can be booked through NCL on their website. Go to www.NCL.com and click on the "Already Booked your cruise?" link. Look for the little picture of the passport. **Lighting**
Please be advised that the lighting is a little dim in the crop room. You may want to think about bringing a lamp (such as a OTT-LITE® TrueColorTM Battery Powered Task Lamp). We recommend bringing a battery operated lamp as there are limited outlets in the crop rooms. If your lamp does need to be plugged in, please bring extension cords and a power strip. I do not personally own one of these lamps so I am not endorsing it - I simply know that many crafters really like them.
For the classes, please bring the following basic kit:
- Scissors
- 1/2" & 1" Circle Punch
- Corner Rounder/Corner Chomper
- Acrylic Block
- 12" Personal Trimmer
- Crop-A-Dile
- Hole Punch
- Brown, Black & White Distressing Ink
- Brown & Black Pen

- Pop Dots
- Paper Piercer
- Scotch Tape
- Sand Paper or Nail File for distressing

*There will be a store on-board. This will include some Cricut cartridges, glue and
t-shirts for scrapbookers.
**It is not required that you bring your Cricut machine. However, if you decide to bring your own, then you will need to pack long extension cords and a power strip as outlets in the room are limited.
