Choice Air:
If you'd like to choose your routing schedule, you can choose to book "Choice Air". These rates are subject to change until paid in full. Transfers are not included in the price but can be added. In most cases, flights are non-refundable and no changes can be made once booked. Flights are customizable and you can choose to book Coach, First Class or Business Class.

To book your own Choice Air reservation, go to www.ChoiceAir.com Check rates as often as you'd like and then when you are ready...go ahead and book. You will need your reservation number, Ship name (Liberty of the Seas) and sailing date (25MAR2018) in order to book. Full payment is due at the time of booking. Once booked, Cruise & Crop will receive notification and we'll send you an updated confirmation.

Book your own air and arrive on 3/24/18.
Book the pre-cruise hotel & transfers through Royal Caribbean.

Call Cruise & Crop for current rates on 1, 2 or 3-night pre-hotel options through Royal Caribbean. These rates would also include your transfer to the pier (but you’d have to get your own transfer from the airport to the hotel the night before). Hotel stays must be booked before December 11, 2017. After this deadline, hotel packages may not be available.

As of 6/30/17, RCL was offering the following hotel:

  • Hotel Indigo Houston Galleria $109.45 pp {25 minutes to HOU; 30 minutes to IAH; 60 minutes to ship}
  • Houston Airport Marriott $99.73 pp

You’d also need to purchase a one-way transfer from the pier to the airport for after the cruise.  This is $32 (HOU) or $47 (IAH) pp.

Hotel rates vary based on how many people are in the room. Rates are subject to change. {Post Cruise packages are also available}

Book Royal Caribbean Transfers

Transfers from HOU: $32 each way, $64 round-trip
Transfers from IAH: $47 each way, $94 round-trip

If you book your own flights, flights must arrive at the HOU airport no later than 12:00 p.m. on 3/25/18 and leave no earlier than 12:00 p.m. on 4/1/18.  Round-trip transfers can be purchased for $64 pp. Flights must arrive at the IAH airport no later than 11:00 a.m. on 3/25/18 and leave no earlier than 12:30 p.m. on 4/1/18.  Round-trip transfers can be purchased for $94 pp.

NOTE:  If you book your own air & hotel (to arrive on 3/24/18) you can go back to the airport on 3/25/18 and take Royal Caribbean's transfers to the pier. Call Cruise & Crop for details and to pre-book this transfer. Or you are welcome to book your own private transfer. Houston Hobby airport is approx. 45 minutes from the pier. Parking Fees: $70 for vehicles up to 20 feet in length
The total fee for the time the vehicle will be parked is due on entry. They accept cash, Visa, Mastercard and Traveler’s Checks issued in U.S. dollars. Pre-pay and save $5 on parking. Visit this link to reserve your parking spot.

Directions from Port of Galveston

Shore excursions are available to be booked. You can go to Royal Caribbean's Website and click "Before you Board". Excursions can be reserved online up to 4 days before your sail date. Crafting activities will not interfere with your days in port - so feel free to go and explore at each stop.

* Challenges – These are “On Your Own” Color Challenges to sharpen your techniques and practice, practice, practice!  All challenges turned in will go into “the bucket” for a drawing for prize donated by the sponsor.  Challenges are not judged no evaluated.  All entries must include name and colors used as well as any other tools (i.e. crystal glaze, wink of stella, white pen or pencil, etc.).  Pictures of challenges and winner are forwarded to Sponsor (Stampendous & Riley the Moose). 

** Schedule is subject to change.  We will discuss class schedule as well as any other important items at the Sunday night get together.  I will be available outside of scheduled class time to help anyone with techniques and/or catch up if a class is missed.  I will be available in the classroom after 8 pm to give further assistance if desired.  I promise to do my best to make sure that everyone completes all cards and/or projects before leaving the ship (as long as you come to class).  I know that you are also on a cruise and on vacation with family or friends, however, if you miss a class and without compromising the class time of others, I will help get you caught up. 

*** ALL classes are taught using Copic markers.  If using Spectrum Noir or the new Touch Twin, please bring the ones with BRUSH nibs!  These are easier to blend with and techniques are similar.

  • Proof of Citizenship
    • Option #1: *RECOMMENDED* Passport (valid at least 6 months after you return) & a drivers license
    • Option #2: A CERTIFIED birth certificate with a raised seal + a government issued photo ID such as a drivers license {plus, a bridging document if the name on your drivers licence and birth certificate do not match - such as a marriage license}
    • Non US Citizens are required to have a passport.
  • e-Docs & Set Sail Pass, luggage tags, Transfer/Hotel Vouchers
  • Shore Excursion Tickets (if you booked your excursions through Dream Vacations/Shore Excursions Group)
  • Casual clothes for during the day - dress in layers as the temperatures can change through out the day and will vary from port to port.
  • 2 Semi-Formal, 2 Smart Casual & 3 Casual outfits for dinner
  • A light jacket in case the crop room is chilly
  • Work-out clothes
  • Bathing suit, cover up & sunscreen
  • Camera & extra batteries
  • Pajamas
  • Toiletries (hair-dryer, soap and shampoo are provided)
  • Tennis shoes & flip-flops
  • Lighted alarm clock (or you can use the Wake-up call system)
  • Power strip (so you have extra outlets in your room)
  • Royal Caribbean allows you to bring 2 bottles of wine per stateroom onboard on embarkation day; subject to corkage fees. These must be CARRIED on! If you put them in your checked luggage, they will be confiscated. Water, Soda, Beer and liquor are prohibited.

For the Open Cropping times, please bring your own paper/photos/accessories/tools that you'll need to complete your own cards/pages.  Please also bring your own supply of wet-wipes to clean your hands and your workspace. 

**Be sure to pack all sharp objects in your CHECKED Luggage, all together in a plastic bag**

The following supplies are suggested if you want to complete your Cruise Album Kit while onboard:

  • Scissors
  • 12" Personal Trimmer
  • Pencil
  • Tons of your favorite adhesives - various types - wet & dry
  • Pop dots
  • Glue dots - Small & Large
  • If taking the Copic classes, see list of markers below.
  • Wet-wipes to clean your hands and table
  • Optional: Battery powered crafting light

There will be a store on-board selling Copic markers/supplies, peel offs, glitter paper (use with peel offs), cardstock designed for use with Copic markers, Copic books, stamp and die sets used in class (new and unused), Memento pads and card kits.

Be sure to bring the following markers based on your skill level.

**Be sure to mark your Markers in some way - either add your initials with a sharpie marker or wrap them with washi tape! It is easy to get markers mixed up with your friends.

Beginners Advanced


All of the beginner’s markers plus the following:

  • Your host, Ronnie, recommends the use of cheaters (magnifying eye glasses from Walgreens, CVS, etc).  They make her coloring easier as I can see the finer details of the images.
