Note from Sandy Allnock, OWH President: On the Operation Write Home cruise, our goal is to make cards for our nation's deployed heroes to write home on. They serve daily in harm's way, and we're thrilled to be able to serve them while on our own vacation! We know you may want to take home some of your creations, and we'll do our best to secure enough supplies to make 2 cards for most if not all of the classes offered so you can take one and donate one. If there aren't enough materials for everyone to make two, the one made in that class will be for our heroes; no one is required to participate in the few classes that may have to be set up that way due to unavailability of supplies.
Thus far, we have secured over $300 in supplies for each cruiser's totebag to take home, much of it donated by amazing, patriotic, and generous companies, with more items on the way! We'll also have giveaways throughout our cruise - those who participate in card challenges to make cards for our heroes during open studio time will be entered into those drawings. More details to come as we get closer to sail date!
