Option #2
|
Book your own air and arrive on 10/18/08.
Book the pre-cruise hotel & transfers through Royal Caribbean.
For $93 pp, you can stay at the Doubletree Universal Studios in Orlando (based on double occupancy). This would also include your transfer to the pier (but you’d have to get your own transfer from the airport to the hotel the night before). Hotel stays must be booked before August 1, 2008. After this deadline, this hotel may not be available.
You’d also need to purchase a one-way transfer from the pier to the airport for after the cruise. This is $35 pp.
Single hotel rooms: $161
Triple hotel rooms: $71 pp
Quad hotel rooms: $60 pp

Option #3

NOTE: You CANNOT book your own air & hotel (to arrive on 10/18) and still purchase Royal Caribbean transfers. If you do everything on your own, you’ll have to find your own transportation to and from the pier. The airport is approx. 45 minutes from the pier. ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF USING CRUISE LINE AIR
ADVANTAGES:
- The cost of air travel can be lower when purchased through the cruise line’s air/sea program, because the cruise line can negotiate lower air rates. Since they are subsidizing the cost, you are often able to save a great deal of money.
- Transfers between the airport and pier are generally included at no cost to you. There are also representatives of the cruise line in the baggage claim area to assist you.
- Should inclement weather or unforeseeable circumstances delay your flight, the cruise line will cooperate with the air carrier whenever possible in order for you to make the sailing.
DISADVANTAGES:
- Your routing and airline schedule is arranged by the cruise line and may include connecting flights as deemed necessary by the airline or cruise line. Your routing may include a layover or change of planes, especially with flights to Europe, the Orient, South Pacific, Mexico and/or the opposite coast of the United States. As a general rule, you are scheduled to depart from and return to the same airport.
- Unless you use the cruise line’s pre or post package at a designated hotel, there is an additional fee to change the date or flight itinerary. This is called an air deviation ($75 pp), and you must make your cruise consultant aware of your desire for the change so that necessary adjustments can be made.

As reported in the news recently, due to rapidly escalating fuel prices many major cruise lines/providers are being forced to add fuel supplement charges to all reservations beginning 2008. We must advise you of this increase, as it will affect the current cost of your future sailing.
The fuel supplement is necessitated by significant rises in fuel prices which have dramatically increased Royal Caribbean’s operating cost. In fact, over the past three years, the price cruise lines pay for fuel has increased by 140 percent, with a 50 percent increase occurring in just the last seven months.
Most cabins within this group are not subject to this fuel surcharge. However, cabins booked after March 2008 are subject to the fuel surcharge. Bookings made between May 1 & June 29 will pay $56 per person. Bookings on or after June 30, 2008 will pay $70 per person for the 1st/2nd passengers and $35 per person for the 3rd/4th passengers.
Implementing this fuel supplement was a difficult decision for the cruise lines but one that was necessary in today’s challenging economic environment. We thank you for your understanding.
Most importantly, we want to thank you for choosing Royal Caribbean and CruiseOne for your vacation needs. We will do everything possible to provide you with a great cruise experience.

If you are planning travel for 2008 or beyond, please take a minute to review the passport policy below. If you don't already have a valid passport, be sure to avoid the rush and give yourself plenty of time to apply for one. Once you've got a passport in hand, the whole world is yours to explore.
U.S. Citizen Passport Requirement
The Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) once fully implemented will require all travelers entering or reentering the United States to be in the possession of a valid passport.

As early as Summer 2008 - A valid passport will be required for all sea and air travel. And subject to U.S. Government amendment, U.S. and Canadian citizens 15 or younger with their parents consent may cross the U.S./Canadian border by land or sea with a certified copy of their birth certificate.
Until that time
